Backend Developer & DevOps Engineer — Laravel, Filament, multi-tenant SaaS and Arabic-first systems
Backend developer and DevOps engineer based in Cairo, building Laravel applications and the infrastructure they run on. Most of my work is enterprise and SaaS: multi-tenant architectures, Filament dashboards, payment and logistics integrations for the Saudi and Gulf market, and Arabic-first interfaces with full RTL support. A lot of my time goes to the parts users never see — encrypted attributes with searchable hashes, idempotent webhooks, queue design and query optimisation. On the operations side I run the servers myself: Linux (AlmaLinux and Ubuntu), Nginx, PHP-FPM, Redis and Docker Compose, with CI/CD through GitHub Actions and GitLab, TLS automation, SSH hardening and encrypted backups. Recent work includes Veska, a multi-tenant portfolio SaaS with custom domains and an MCP server; Nitx, an advertising and digital signage platform; and Yalla Video, a cross-platform Electron desktop application shipped to Flathub and GitHub Releases.
